Things that Changed My Life

Let’s start with the most frivolous, simply because, I am doing that right now:

Skin Care: This is not just about taking care of our first boundary: THE SKIN. It’s about making a simple choice every day to take care of yourself. It's a moment that is just yours, and your body will thank you for it.

Discipline: I understood that discipline is a signal we send to our brain to rewire it. Because, guys, the good thing is that the brain is plastic, so we have the power to change it whenever we want. But it needs discipline… it needs to feel the change, we need to train it every day. Like going to the gym—will you ever get muscles if you train just once every two weeks?

Body Scan Meditation: This helps me focus on my body sensations, observe my thoughts without judgment, and be in the present moment. It’s extremely useful for those who easily fall into overthinking.

Mindful Walking: For those like me, often in a fight or flight mode, mindful walking is a great alternative to sitting still. It helps you reconnect, soothe your nervous system, and be in the present moment (because hey, in the end, it’s all about that).

Blue Light Glasses and Reducing Phone “Addiction”: We live in a world where our heads are more often down than looking up. We prioritize phone connections over live connections. Reducing your screen time will help you have more genuine connections. And if you can’t because of work, blue light glasses will thank your eyes. Blue light is harmful to our vision, our sleep, and our health in general.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) by Peter Levine: Aside from becoming a practitioner of this beautiful practice soon, I am so thankful for it. This practice teaches me every day how to connect with one of the biggest, most powerful sources we have: OUR BODY. Crazy to think that sometimes we forget the importance of that, right?

Compassionate Inquiry by Gabor Maté: This is an impressively useful therapy to help you feel emotions in your body with a compassionate approach. I’m not talking about magic, but I swear sometimes it feels like magic exists. I recently went through a really stressful moment and had immense pain in my shoulder from all the burdens and worries I was carrying. I had a session, it was intense, and I felt whatever I needed to feel. This morning, I woke up, and the pain in my shoulder and chest was gone. Because yes, if you suppress what you feel, your body will say “no.”

Feeling the Emotions in Our Body: Not much to say about this except, FEEL. Feeling emotions in our body is essential for our well-being. This isn’t just spiritual talk; it’s the way it’s supposed to be, but unfortunately, no one taught us this.

Boundaries: The importance of saying “no.” This isn’t about being selfish. It’s about learning to listen to ourselves and our own needs, prioritizing what makes us feel good.

Castor Oil Packs: I’m wearing one now. It helps detox the liver, and the good news is you just have to wear it:) If you’re like me, a skincare-obsessed person, try it and let me know how it goes! your skin will glow and your liver will be really thankful

Adrenal Fatigue Cocktail: A simple mix of coconut water, oranges or lime, and sea salt. It helps those with low sodium. You’ll feel an immense increase in energy.

Reading Books on Mental Health Awareness: This is why, in my coaching, I created a YouTube course for my clients explaining certain topics about mental health. Being aware is essential for our growth. We need to know what we are healing, what trauma is, the importance of boundaries, compassion, childhood experiences, etc.

Checking the Toxicity of What We Eat and Use Daily: It’s crucial to be aware of what we put into our mind and on our bodies.

Checking My Minerals Through Mineral Hair Testing: Minerals are essential for our mind and body (Women! With period pain, listen up!). Did you know that low potassium can cause fatigue, muscle cramps, or heart palpitations? Or that low magnesium can increase the risk of osteoporosis, brain fog, anxiety, and depression? High iron levels can lead to insulin resistance, liver dysfunction, candida, and migraines?

Nonviolent Communication and Reframing Our Thoughts: This was mind-blowing for me, and I see a huge difference when I teach this to my clients. It helps with self-compassion, connects old beliefs to past experiences, and finally frees us from self-judgment and self-blaming.

Patience and Humanness: We are human beings; we will never become fully healed robots. Accepting with RADICAL ACCEPTANCE that life is like a healthy nervous system, moving in waves between activation and deactivation , between high and lows.

Life is a flow .

Surfing: It’s not just a sport. It’s a metaphor for life. Surfing teaches me every day to be grateful for the power of nature, how it connects me with nature and people. It teaches me patience, not to expect too much or too little, but to live in the moment. You can’t choose how the waves will be; you just go and live what is there.

This is all that I do in my coaching. I have tried, done, and continue to do, read, and experience every day. The holistic approach has become my main priority.
